I was commanded by my sister to post this on my blog. So that is why I'm doing it. Not to show off, as I could get a lot better than this with more experience, but just to show my fellow bloggers what I have been up to. I made another fun cake. This time it was with my friend Candice. It was for her daughter's birthday party and she requested a Spongebob Theme. Candice came over with this massive 16 x 16 4" deep cake pan. We were extremely worried when it took 3 cake mixes to fill it. Was it going to bake correctly? Were the sides going to burn but the middle still be raw? We decided to read up on the internet. We took the advice of the cyber world and turned the oven down to 375 degrees and cooked it FOREVER. We had to put tin foil on the top rack to keep the top from burning the last 20 minutes. This thing weighed about 5 lbs! We made all the decorative pieces while it was baking. So, we made it past the cake baking part. Now it was time for flipping it out of the pan and hoping that it wouldn't break! Phew, we got past that part. Then, the worst part was rolling out a gigantic piece of fondant to fit over the top of the cake and down the sides. All crisco'd up to our elbows and laughing how gross we were, we put both hands and arms under the fondant and hurried over to the cake to lay it on top. It only came apart in 1 area which wasn't too bad. Note to self...don't ever do a cake pan that big unless you are experienced! haha. Here is the finished product. I totally pulled an "angie" and stayed up until 1:30am doing this!

hee hee! that's right! i'll show you how it's done! next time shoot for 2am... THEN you will be Angie-fyed.
